Picket Mire Survey
Summary
A topographic and photographic Survey was undertaken at Picket Mire near Picket Post of a rectangular banked enclosure in advance of planned groundworks, June 2025. Limited historical research was also conducted and included in the report. The historical research indicates that the enclosure was probably constructed in the late 18th century, around the c.1770. Historic mapping indicates continued activity in the 1950s, however the enclosure had long fallen out of use in its original form.
