This is a new project running under funding from the Higher Level Stewardship scheme, as part of the Verderers Grazing Scheme.
It encourages commoners to replace older ponies with young stock on the forest.
This helps to reduce the welfare issues encountered by older ponies, especially during the winter when life is tough out in the forest.
